We're excited to let you know about two more events we have heading our way this summer!
First up, as part of our Live at Revival Series, a special tribute to the Canadian icon Oscar Peterson starring performers that are legends themselves - pianist Robi Botos, bassist Mike Downes and everyone's favourite drummer, Jim Doxas. The program will include classics of Peterson's such as Place St-Henri, Cakewalk, Hymn to Freedom and more. As an added bonus, ahead of the performance will be a multi-media presentation to immerse attendees into the world of one of the greatest jazz masters of all time. Here’s a link with more info:
Also new to announce today is a one-of-a-kind choral performance with the world-class Montreal-based chamber choir Les Rugissants, conducted by Xavier Brossard-Menard. This is a timely, powerful program of music from Ukraine. A combination of classical, sacred and folk music, presented inside Holy Trinity Anglican Church at the special hour of 4PM. One hour of true glory to end your day and set you off into the evening feeling fulfilled and transformed. Join us for this special event!
The thaw continues here, and with that slow but real change, we're feeling the start of the excitement as we ramp up our energies for SSM Season 26!
