THE COUNTDOWN BEGINS...
Dear Friends,
I'm writing to you today from St. John's. It's a clear blue sky with somewhat of a brisk breeze, and still in the single-digit temperature range. Basically, May in St. John's! There are lots of folks out on the street and there's a buzz in the air that winter is finally over (though there was a snowfall here two days ago!). Last summer's heat had such a huge impact on people's minds here that many are holding onto that memory and counting the days until it returns. Who knows when?
Something much more solid for us to look forward to is the start of our summer season in Stratford! Our opening night on July 17th is just a little over two months away but we have a special pre-season celebration event happening even sooner. There are only a handful of tickets left for this, so if you're inclined to help us celebrate 25 years with a "little" event at Starlight on June 20th, check out the link below. We have all-star performers George Koller, Ted Quinlan and Jocelyn Barth joining us then for one night only!
Some of you may be keeping track of me online and wondering if I'm here on the Rock because of last week's East Coast Music Awards. Sadly, I was unable to be here for any of the festivities but I'm very happy to announce that my last recording - Alikeness - took home two of the three awards it was nominated for, including Best Instrumental of the Year for yours truly. Thank you ECMAs!
